"Be my Valentine." GOD
When someone says Be My Valentine it
means they love you.
God loves you and wants you to be is
Valentine. The love that God gives us is not like the world's love.
The World's love is as sturdy as the paper
that most Valentine cards are made of.
God's Love is not a flimsy cheap imitation. It is the real thing. It is
an all giving love that was and is willing to suffer and die for our
deliverance.
God wrote His love letter to you in His
own blood. He has given it to you with
the greatest presents, not candy or flowers but streets of gold, a mansion in
glory and abundant life here on earth.
He has proposed. What will be your answer? Will you be God's Valentine? It is your
choice.
Say yes and be wed to Him for all eternity.
To God, You Are
Special
While
there are a lot of people in the world God love you in a unique way.
Four Facts Showing God loves you in a
Powerful way
God’s Son Jesus died
for you.
God demonstrated His love for you in this that
He laid down His life for you.
Nothing can separate
you from His love.
Romans 8:35-39 (NAB)
What will separate us
from the love of Christ? Will anguish, or distress, or persecution, or famine,
or nakedness, or peril, or the sword? [36] As it is written:
"For your sake we
are being slain all the day;
we are looked upon
as sheep to be slaughtered."
[37] No, in all these things we conquer overwhelmingly through
him who loved us. [38] For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels,
nor principalities, nor present things, nor future things, nor powers, [39] nor
height, nor depth, nor any other creature will be able to separate us from the
love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
God loves us though
He has seen our worse!
While we were yet
sinners Christ died for us. He knows our
hearts our thoughts and our secret sins.
He loves us with an endless love and yet He hates those sins. God hates sins because He loves us and sin
destroys lives.
Finding
the One who will make life complete.
Everyone wants to find the perfect life partner. But there are no perfect people.
Many of the most popular people in the
world have not found love that lasts.
So if you search the world for the perfect
lover you will never find him until you raise your eyes and look toward heaven.
Deep inside us is a hole, a vacume, a need, that not
even a hundred lovers could fill. Yet still there is hope. Your dream can come
true.
Earthly love is risky.
Beauty
fades.
People
change.
At
any moment we could lose the one we love through death, or any number of
things. The greater our love the greater the pain we are in danger of
suffering.
Marriages
always end either in an angry divorce or mourning at a grave. Love seems to
carry the seeds of the deepest pain we can have in life.
There is a love that is more powerful that
does not end and that saves earthly love with a heavenly home that lasts an
eternity. A love that satisfies
forever..
These characteristics of earthly love are similar to the love you can have with God!
You ache for
someone you:
* will forever
be proud of
* can trust
completely
* can be totally
open with
* Who always and
fully understands you?
Your secret
desire is for someone:
* whose mind,
strength and beauty will never decline
You
need someone who:
* meets your
needs so exactly that it seems you were made for each other
* not just feels your pain but can always help you no matter
how serious your needs become!
* knows your
darkest secret, your every thought, and yet thinks highly of you
* can always be
with you, no matter where you are, the moment you want your partner
* will forever
love you with a love so great and that it always thrills and satisfies you
* always brings the best out of you, enabling you to reach the
highest of which you are capable.
You need a Lover who won’t leave you
Jesus IS that person
God
will fulfill your life in ways no human can. God describes Him wanting you as His own
bride. He beloved.
You
believe in God? Great! But just believing in someone does not make you married to them. If you are married you probably decided that
your wife / husband was the one you
would marry but until you made that commitment and said the marriage
vows you were not married.
Joint Property
True
marriage believes in someone so completely that you give all that you are, and
all that you have, to that person for life. Your Maker is eager to do that for
you, but for marriage to work, both partners must do this.
If a street kid married a millionaire, she
would get his riches and he would get her debts. He would take on her shame and
she would gain his honor. For this to happen, she must turn from other men and
join herself and her few possessions to this man in marriage. Everything he
owns would become hers, if she lets everything of hers become his.
Similarly, if we give to God everything we have – our time,
abilities, friendships, and everything we own – he will flood us with a
generosity that only God can show. We hand over to Jesus the shameful things we
have done, giving up even our favorite sin. It becomes his. That’s what killed
him. In return, Jesus’ sinless perfection becomes ours, so that we can enjoy
the closest friendship with the Holy God.
By becoming one with God, we give God the
right to do whatever he likes with everything we own, but the Owner of the
universe makes his riches available to us. We trade our abilities, for his
unlimited power; our attempts to run our lives, for his unlimited wisdom. We
give him our time on earth and he gives us eternity.
In every way you gain from God’s offer and
he loses. But God is in love with you. He wants this
holy union more than you can imagine. Do not make him sad by holding back.
A marriage made in heaven. The following is
like a wedding in which you give yourself to the Lord, and so make him your
God. In turn, the King of kings makes you worthy to become spiritually one with
him, and he promises to give himself completely to you.
If the following describes your feelings,
you can make it your prayer by reading it to God.
Prayer of Acceptance of God’s Proposal
Dear God, It
hurts to admit how bad I’ve been. Even though I have caused you sorrow, you
sent your Son who gave his life and defeated death so that you could treat me
as if I had never done a wrong thing in my life. You have given yourself
totally for me and I long to return your great love, by
pleasing you with all I have. I take you to be my God from this day on. I will
love, honor and obey you. I yield to your loving protection and guidance. I
surrender my sins to you, giving up even those sins I like. And in return I
receive your pardon (forgiveness) and purity and your power to live a life
worthy of you.
Thank you that
we have now begun a friendship so close and so powerful that not even death can
break it.
The Lord of heaven and earth knows your
secret thoughts. If you prayed the full prayer honestly, you have entered a new
spiritual world. That’s hard to believe. Everything seems the same. But not
from heavens view. Your life-changing ‘marriage’ has begun.
The proof lies not in your feelings (such
as whether you feel guilty or happy), but in the honesty of the Holy God. He
has given his word (in the Bible) that whoever turns from sin and looks to
Jesus to be made clean, has a totally new future. God is no liar!
If this is the first time you have
sincerely offered such a prayer, you need further support immediately. Contact a Bible teaching church immediately
because they are God’s side of the family, the in-laws you join when you
married God.
Romans 5:8 Christ died for us while
we were still sinners. This demonstrates God's love for us.
Jn.15:13 Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends
1Jn.3:16 ¶ This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers.
Eph.5:2 and live a life of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.
Romans 8:31-35 What
can we say about all of this? If God is for us, who can be against us? [32] God didn't spare his own Son but handed
him over {to death} for all of us. So he will also give us everything along
with him. [33] Who will accuse those
whom God has chosen? God has approved of them. [34] Who will condemn them? Christ has died,
and more importantly, he was brought back to life. Christ has the highest
position in heaven. Christ also intercedes for us. [35] What will separate us from the love
Christ has for us? Can trouble, distress, persecution, hunger, nakedness,
danger, or violent death separate us from his love?
Eph. 2:4-5 But God is rich in mercy because of his great love for us. [5] We were dead because of our failures, but he made us alive together with Christ. (It is God's kindness that saved you.)
1 John 4:9-10 God has shown us his love by sending his only Son into the
world so that we could have life through him. [10] This is love: not that we
have loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the payment for our
sins.
