The cross is why Jesus Came. He came to die for our sins!
The star was a illustration of what Jesus was going to do.
It is a message that God wants the entire world to see.
It is the message that we need to be faithful to proclaim.

When
you look at a star of David, you notice that it is made of two triangles that
are interconnected.
The triangle is a symbol for the Trinity.
Three separate persons, and yet He is only One God.
The triangle is also a symbol for man, we are a Trinity of body, soul, and spirit. The symbol for God can be seen as the triangle pointing down to man, and the symbol for man can be seen as the triangle pointing up toward God. Christmas is God in the flesh, the dual nature of Jesus Christ being fully God and fully man. Christmas is also the time when God and man are reconciled so the triangles are woven in Christ.
