We are beginning a sermon series at church to read the Bible through. Below you will find a plan to read the Bible through in a little more than two years. It is not chronological. The order of the books was chosen primarily to keep us mixing Old Testament and New Testament; Prophets and New Testament Letters; Old Testament history and the four Gospels.
You will get the most blessing if you make it a priority to read the Bible through as we go. There will be a study sheet available each Sunday morning that shows the desired reading for the week to come. The amount of reading will vary depending on the week. If you read the Bible along with this plan each book will be introduced on the Sunday listed and as you read these chapters you will read the entire Bible in a little more than two years.
We would like to set up small groups where the Bible can be discussed with the study sheet you will receive each Sunday. If you want to join a group, there will be discussion groups during Sunday School for both youth and adults. We would also like to set up groups that meet in homes during the week.
While we encourage you to do all three, the sermon; the small group, and the reading compliment each other but any one will help you even if you cant do all the others.
